So your neurologist asked you to track your migraine episodes for a month before your first appointment-- but where do you start? I hear ya sweet friends-- tracking your migraine can feel like yet another thing to add to the never ending to-do list! While it's difficult to figure out where to even begin, it is a helpful practice that can help you and your healthcare team start to see patterns in your symptoms!

Tracking your migraine episodes can provide a deeper insight into factors that may be lowering your migraine threshold and/or triggering episodes. There are apps such as Migraine Buddy and N1 that can help you do this, but sometimes pen and paper or a PDF document is less overwhelming.

With my clients I'm often looking for symptoms linked with things like your menstrual cycle, food, stress, weather, sleep, and hydration. You may notice other factors too that affect you! That is why we made you a specialized, one of a kind migraine tracking journal.

You can either print out a few of these sheets for the month, or download it as a PDF on your iPad and fill it in! So many migraine trackers don't include categories to track things like sleep, situations and environment , and food and water intake. As a Migraine Dietitian, I see you as a whole person with a lot of moving pieces! All of these pieces play a role in your migraine and your threshold level.
